We will celebrate the health of our local streams and rivers through many fun and family-centered activities. Learn how to make a rain garden and a ripanan buffer, get expert information on how to avoid costly erosion on your driveway, get cost-sharing information on maintaining your septic system, and chat with knowledgeable outdoor recreational enthusiasts about local opportunities for river recreation. Enter the photo contest, win great door prizes (free), take a guided walk along the Thornton, fly a kite with your kids, and learn how to create a garden with native plants. Homeowners will have a special opportunity to learn at least ten ways to make home and yard more river friendly (and drought resistant).
