/ This introduction to ths design and construction ot efficient, healthy housing is based upon the guidelines set forth in the two residential green building ratings systems available in Virginia: LEED for Homes and Earthcraft. Topics covered include design, location and site work, energy efficiency, indoor environmental quality, materials, and equipment. Students will learn essential strategies for designing and building high performance homes, and where to find the best technical resources and how to have homes certified as built green.
