Coyotes, don can
cause great damage
I have a reply to “Doit owners shocked, saddened by shootings.”
Coyotes do pose a danger to other animals, cattle, pigs - even humans. They will eat small dogs and cats. ! lived out West for two years and I'm a tittle familiar with them.
Dogs who are left to roam can do a lot of damage, too. Once they get a taste of blood, you almost can’t stop them. My parents had chickens when 1 was little and they had a problem with dogs a couple of times.
There is a big black dog that comes in my yard and challenges me and my little dog to fight. He defecates around my door and urinates on my house.
Also. I’ve had cows come in my yard, destroy my trees and landscaping and leave dung everywhere, t was informed they were owned by a certain person. I sent him two letters and a certificate letter asking that he replace the trees.
Animals come on your property and do whatever they want and you are made to look like the bad guy.

to protect animals
This letter is in regard to Richard
Brady’s column titled “Owner’s Obligations” that ran in last week's Rappahannock News. 1 feel like 1 want to put in a similar opinion. And I should have before now.
I<et me start off by saying 1 am proud of him for doing it ami embarrassed that it took his step to get me to do mine.
I am a Licensed Veterinary Technician and when I read the article nbout the dog that was killed in the trap, my first thought went to. Why was the dog running free17 Did he get off his chain’' Did he get out of his fence'' Was there ever anv fence’’ How long was the dog missing before anyone went to l<*»k for him’’ No one has ever broached those subjects. Kveryone has felt sorry for the owner, the child who lo^t the pet and has made the man who shot the dog look like a monster
I)on't get me wrong. I am very, very sad for the loss of the dog I am a huge dog lover. I adore my dogs. I am a bet sitter, as a matter of fact. My dogs, mv clients, stay in my fenced yard, and in mv house* because I want
