Network show

returns

The non-profit Thoroughbred Network will host an open schooling “fun” show April 26 at the Warrenton Horse Show grounds. Classes begin at 9 a.m.

There will be in-hand classes, leadline, under saddle and hunter hack classes for registered and unregistered Thoroughbreds, and open divisions. There is a special “spouse” hack for “nonriding supporters” and games to close the day.

There will be an adoption parade of horses and dogs during a short lunch break at noon. Attire is schooling show informal.

The TN is a charity that aims to educate owners about the versatility of retired racehorses becoming sport horses in a variety of disciplines.

‘Chasing on TV

Major American steeplechase races will be part of the Thoroughbred racing broadcasts on ESPN and espn.com this year. The schedule includes six “Steeplechase Reports” on ESPN and ESPN 2 television networks, plus coverage on the Horse Racing section of espn.com.
