NOTICE OF RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY

DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS

The Rappahannock County Democratic Committee hereby announces that it will hold an assembled caucus on Saturday, Apnl 19. 2008 at 12:00 noon at the Rappahannock County Library in Washington, for the purpose of electing 3 delegates (2 for Obama. 1 for Clinton) and 1 alternate (Obama) to the 7th Congressional District Convention and the 2008 Virginia State Democratic Convention.

In accordance with the Virginia Democratic Party Plan, the Rappahannock County Democratic Caucus is open to all Democrats registered to vote in Rappahannock County. Persons wishing to be candidates for Delegate shall fill out and submit a filing form along with a voluntary administrative fee of $15.00. The alternate shall be chosen as the next highest vote getter. On the filing form, preference for Presidential candidate will be stated.

Completed forms and fees may be mailed to RCDC. PO Box 277, Washington. VA 22747 or given to one of the officers: Ray Boc, Andy Platt, Mary Jane Cappello or Yogi Bear In all cases the forms must be in the hands of an officer no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday. April 14. 2008

Delegate Filing Forms, copies of the Call to Caucus, and the Temporary Rules for the Caucus are available at the Registrar of Voters’ office on Gay Street. Washington, during their regular business hours. They are also available at the Rappahannock County Library or by calling Ray Boc. 987-9706.

On Saturday, Apnl 19, the doors to the Caucus will be opened at 11 00 for the check-m/certification process. All participants of the Caucus shall sign a standardized declaration form stating that he or she is a Democrat, does not intend to support any candidate who is opposed to a Democratic Nominee in the next General Election; is not a member of any other political party; has not participated and will not participate in the nominating process of any other Party for the 2008 Presidential election; and is a registered voter in Rappahannock County. Caucus Declaration Forms must be filled out at the Caucus prior to participating in the Caucus. At 12:00 noon the doors to the Caucus will be closed and no person mav complete a form and participate in the Caucus after that time with the exception of those persons in line to check-in at 12:00 noon.

The 7th Congressional District Convention will convene on Saturday. May 10 at 12:0C noon at Short Pump Middle School in Glen Allen. VA. and the 2008 Virginia State Democratic Convention will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center on Saturday. June 14
