Relay for Life
Wakefield Country Day School (WCDS) is forming a team for the Rappahannock Relay for Life on May 17 through 18, from 4 pm. on Saturday until 4 pm. on Sunday. Wakefield families are encouraged to walk with the team at any point during the 24-hour time period at Rappahannock Elementary School. To help raise money for the event, students in 7th through 12th grades will be participating in a “Penny War.” During the next several weeks, the upper school students also will be coordinating two bake sales during lower school lunch, so that younger students can donate to the cause as well. WCDS’ Relay for Life team captain is Wakefield teacher Ms. Lindsey Zanchettin.
