Sperryville’s Sherri Woodward, owner of the American Image Salon, has been a frequent contestant in local, state and national pageants and is seeking support to enter the 2009 Miss Virginia USA Pageant.
Sherri is well known in the county as queen of the 2003 and 2005 Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad Miss Rappahannock Pageant and was only one of 30 women accepted in the Miss Virginia USA Pageant in October 2007.
She would like to enter the spring 2009 pageant but, as a very young person and owner of a relatively new business in the county, the funds for her participation are just beyond her reach.
Sherri was awarded a partial scholarship from the pageant; but please consider giving your financial support (tax deductible) to this young woman. You would be listed as a sponsor.
Sherri needs $250 more by Sept. 19 to enter the Miss Virginia USA Pageant and then she will need to purchase the wardrobe for the event. This multi-talented woman also bakes custom cakes from scratch for that special occasion. She particularly loves making children’s cakes, and will create one for your needs, ranging from Elmo to a John Deere tractor.
