Zoning administrator David Konick says flood plains don't necessarily flood and that perhaps people should be allowed to build on them. Konick sent a letter to the Board of Supervisors requesting a change in the current toning ordinance which requires a minimum 50 foot setback from any river, stream or floodplain Currently no building. structure or sewage disposal system is allowed within a floodplain or within 50 leet of the fitssiplain area as shown on the official toning map.
