Artists and art connoisseurs walked into a twinkling land of silvery, sparkling trees, blue light pooled on a white floor, evergreen trees clustered on a stage and juried art hung upon the walls at the “Art from the Heart" gala and auction at Wakefield Country Day School Saturday evening.
The theme of this year’s event was “Narnia."
Students dressed in black and white passed delectable hcrrs d’oeuvres such as Hazelnut Profiteroles with Local Blue Cheese and Rabbit Risotto prepared by Dayn Smith, Rappahannock resident and renown chef.
Art professor William Woodward provided a gallery walk and more than 100 guests and over 20 artists mingled as they viewed oil paintings, watercolore, pottery and jewelcy
