The annual election of officers for the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department on Dec. 2 had everyone’s hopes high not only for what position may come their way but also in regards to the goals and expectations for the new year
The department has several plans including one to explore the option of constructing a new station house - not within the next year but rather by developing a five-year plan that will conclude with its construction.
The department continues to grow along with our community and the construction of a larger station house is a very real need.
