The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors was told Monday by a Virginia Department of Transportation representative that VDOT wants to go ahead with plans to replace the Route 729 bridge over Battle Run.
VDOT regional administrator David Cubbage told the supervisors that the state agency has come up with the $2.1 million that would allow it to complete the project in 2011 - which requires closing Route 729, Richmond Road, at Meadow Grove Farm for about 90 davs.
