These fine men and women devote their time and effort to providing a vital service to this community that would otherwise cost much, much more in the terms of our tax dollars.
They sacrifice the time they would normally be able to enjoy with their own families to answer calls for service both day and night and now having accepted these positions they will be devoting even more time to the department.
So when you see them out and about on the mountain here, please make it a point to stop and say “Hi” and maybe give them a “Thanks” too. After all it just might be a call for help at 3 a m. from you or someone in your house.
