Mr*. Compton, widow of Emmett Compton, was. born in Rappahannock county March 30, 1981, the daughter of George F andJSdWonia Johnson Reaguer. She is durvived by two children, Virginius W. Compton of Baltimore, and Mrs. K. E. Tanner of Slate Mills; a sister, Mrs. Blanche Shackelford of Buffalo, N. Y.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were 'Robert Brown, Winston Hitt, Carter White, Dr.‘ Rupert Quaintance, James Landis, and William Heller. Those serving as honorary , pallbearers included Yager Hawkins, Irvin Sullivan, L. R. Hudson, J. J. Hitt, Kenneth Wsakley, Tom Jenkins, Waverly Kennedy, Charles Racer, Andie Weaver, and Champ Blankenbaker. - &
