Thanksgiving
Dr. W. G. Pendleton
St. Paul says • that we must "Give thanks always for all things unto God." Now we know that prayer naturally reminds us of our wants, our imperfections and Our needs; confession reminds us it our misdeeds, while thanksgiving must be a more pleasant occupation because it reminds us of God’s goodness to us, so comes from a feeling of gratitude for what God has done for us. Giving thanks should assays b<£^neof the characteristics of the Christian life, for a cheerful face, a contented mind and a grateful heart should always belong to a person who is a real Christian. The true Christian takes no anxious thought for the morrow and is profoundly thankful for today and' yesterday, even when yesterday was full of (trouble and tomorrow gives promise of a Storm. Yes, Christians should give thanks always for all things unto God.
