F. A. Saunders, assistant engineer of the State- Corporation Commission, appeared before tinboard of supervisors in meetinir Wednesday morning to hear the prolilom discussed concerning the plea of Rappahannock for tollfree telephone service within the county boundaries.

Mr. Saunders heard James W. Fletcher and others of the county explain what a benefit a toll-free telephone would be in the business of the county today and in the future. The engineer appealed to understand thoroughly the position of Rappahannock people and he stated that he would contact. the telephone companies with this problem and report on hifindings. Following his report there is tlA* possibility that a delegation will go to Richmond for an additional hearing.

Senator Raymond R. Guest has heen active in the presentation of the county’s telephone problem before the corporation commission and numbers of expressions of appreciation for his interests have been heard throughout the county.
