Engagement Announced
Captain and Mrs. J. P. Cook of Flint Hill, have announced the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Miss Evelyn Gordon Cook to Maurice Walker, son of Mi's. Mary W. Walker, and the late Mr. Walker of Fredericksburg.
Miss 'Cook is a graduate of the Washington High School, and is now an employee of Lansburgh’s “Department Store in Washington, D. C.
Mr. Walker is a '•’•aduate of Fork Unfon Military Academy and the Benjamin Franklin University. He served three years in the U. *S. Navy,, and is now employed at the Post Office Dept, in Washington, D. C. »
The wedding will take place the latter part of April.
Methodist Rally At
Culpeper February 6
There will be a rally of, the Methodists from Amissville, Flint Hill, W as h i n gton, Sperryville, Huntly, Cnlpeper, and churches in Culpeper county at Culpeper Methodist church on Monday, February 6, at |f7:30 pi.m. Mr. Paul R. France, District Lay Leader has planned an interesting program. The District Superintendent, Rey. T. E. Landis, will be present. A ijsound /ilm istrip “More for your mony” will be shown wihch will be followed by a discussion period and a period of fellowship.
