THEN-. . . RIGHT AT OUR OWN BACK DOOR . . . Livestock Field Day will be held at the Beef Cattle Research Center at Front Royal, Saturday, August 19. The program gets underway at 9:45 a.m. with introductions by R. R. Renalds, President of Northern Virginia Livestock Producers Association. A. L. Baker, who is rapidly being adopted by Virginians and who is director of the sta. Ition, will give the welcome at 10:00. a,m. At 10:10 E. J. Warwick, co-ordinator for tike Southern Region will discuss “Breeding Better Beef Cattle in the'South.” C. M. Kincaid of the VPI Experiment Station will follow by giving a summary of the research plan-. I ned for Front Royal. At conclusion 1 of Dr. Kincaid's address the group will tour the station. Lunch will be served on the grounds by Warren County Home‘Demonstration I dubs. The afternoon program will include (1) Beef Cattle Situation by Mr. Charles A. Burmeister, Agricultural Economist . . . Livestock Branch P.M.A., of Washington, iD. C.; (8) Sheep Management Practices and Demonstration by George W. Litton; and (8) Demonstration on Dehorning and Castrating Feeder Calves, by C.
