BRIDGE LUNCHEON AT 'SPRING HOUSE FARM"

Mrs. W. L. Litsey, assisted by her daughter Miss Anne Litsey, and her mother, Mrs. D. B. Smith, entertained at a bridge luncheon at “Spring House Farm” Wednesday.

_ Mrs. R. G. Quaintance won the high score prize, Mrs. J. E. Keyser the second highest, Mrs. D. D. Miller the consolation, and the traveling prize was received by Mrs. Henry K.. Tice of Kingsport, Tenn., and the guest prize was awarded to Mrs. J. W. Price. Miss Louise Miller celebrated her 21st birthday that day, and was presented a birthday .prize.

SELECTIVE SERVICE CALL

Charier William Dodson, Wil« liam Jackson Brown, James Miller Thornton, James Minor Settle, Jr., and Coolidge Gilcrest Grov'es were the five men from Rappahannock county who went to Fort Myor for examination on July 17. This was the first selective service call from the county. ; < j
