Funeral services for Mrs. Alice 'Ackis of Washington, D. C., were held at Macedonia Baptist church, Flint Hill, Friday at 1 o’clock, with Rev. T. L. Proctor officiating. Interment was in Flint Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Ackis was a daughter ef the late Cora Underwood.

Mrs. Landonia Greenwood, of Culpeper, will bring her chorus of sixty-one voices Sunday afternoon, August 20, for a recital to be held at the First Baptist Church, WashingfSn, at 4 o’clock. The public is cordially invited.

The revival held at the First Baptist church, Washington, Aug. 0-12 was a success. The pastor, Rev. R. C. Davis was assisted by Rev. Aaron Mack ley, of Washington, D.C., who had just returned from Princeton University, where he attended Summer School. Rev. Mackley is an able man and excellent speaker. Beginning September 3, he will speak over radio station WARL, Arlington, each) Sunday morning from 10 to 11 EST, Services will be Conducted from Mt. Olive Baptist church, in Arlington.
