Apple Marketing Clinic*
Three apple marketing clinics, designed to further efficient sell* ing of high Quality Vrginia fruit, have been scheduled for August. -- Fred Dreiling, tree fruits ipecialist at VPI, said the clinics vpll be held August 16 in Roanoke, ' August 17 in Waynesboro, and August 18 in Winchester.
Participating will be fruit growlers, buyers and distributors of chain and independent stores, professional agricultural workers, and representatives of the Virginia Apple Commission.
Some of the topics slated for discussion are expected processors’ needs for apples this year, various methods of packaging, methods of increasing sales of Virginia apples In southern states, and market outlook information.
