Quite a number of the county1* citizens,have extended a hand f welcome to out-of-town guest* by making their homes available for refreshment. Rappahannock people are widely famous for their spirit of hospitality, which is the most refreshing thing “out-oftowners” could receive, and this spirit is on the increase.
A tentative schedule has bees set up by the Inaugural Committee for the installation of the ladies Of the council of Washington and the lady-mayor. The program for Friday, September 1, Subject to change, if necessary, stands thus: /'

5:15, Open Reception on the Courthouse Lawn, given by the ladies auxiliary to the fire company.
6 o'clock, private parties in the homes of the community.
9:30, Square Dance, in high school auditorium.

Water Supply Low
In Reservoir
Notice has been issued from the office of R. V. Snead, receiver for the Water system of the town of Washington, that the water supply is getting low in the reservoir and citizens are requested to conserve water as much as possible. There is no danger of water giving out, for if the resep'oir gets too low, a switch will be made to the artesian well provided for such an emergency. Water from the artesian well is “hard” and the reservoir water is “soft," haso* the desire to stay away from using the artesian well if such be possible.
