Local Lidies Take Pari

III Fashion Show

Thursday, September 7, at 8 o'clock in Union Hall, Front Royal , Weaver’s, Incorporated well present a fashion show, “Weaving Dreams in Fashions with Weavers,” sponsored by St. Mary’s Guild of Calvary Episcopal church.

The young ladies of Rappahannock who are to be in the fashion show are Miss Mary Massie Lea, Miss Louise Miller, Miss Margaret -Hughes, and Mrs. Dan Price.

The stage setting is by W. N. Wood of Richmond and Miss K. Rebekah Johnson will be fashion commentator. Miss Ruth Carson . Williams, is pianist and Mrs. Ruth Beatty Gasque will direct the musical arrangements. The dream girl of the program is Miss Marty Miller.. ^.Vr.‘- fc4**!

Refreshments will he served by St. Mary’s Guild of Calvary Episcopal church. ;

Honors At Berryville

i Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick’* Irish setters and pointers again took honors Monday, September 4, at Berryville. The pointer “Battle Run Trixie,” won the blue ribbon and rosette for the best pointer in the show; “Battle Run Duke” won first ribbon and “Battle Run Clancy” won 2nd ribbon for best and second best male Irish .setter.

Battle Run Trixie, 18 months old, won the blue ribbon, rosette, and gold trophy at the show in Front Royal, sponsored by the Game Protective Association.

Battle Run Trixie was handled by Capt. Warwick, Battle Run Duke was handled by Jock Brown, and Battle Run Clancy was handled by Bill Warwick.

In U. S. Army

Thomas Barbee “Bobby” Reid re-enlisted in the U. S. Army the past week, through the Culpeper U. S. Army and U. S. Air Force Recruiting Station. This is Bobby’s second enlistment, having previously served an enlistment with Army Engineers overseas, and having been honorably discharged as sergeant this past January. '
