Supervisors Approve

County Health Unit_

The Board of Supervisors met Wednesday, September 6, with five members present and W. C. Campbell absent because of illness.

The board voted to go in with the counties of Fauquier and Prince William in getting a health unit. The personnel includes a part-time health officer, a halftime sanitation officer, and a fulltime public health nurse, and a full-time clerk. An office will be located in Rappahannock county.

Miss Janet Sollenberger, home agent, gave a report before the meeting.

Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Jr., chairman of the welfare board, and Mrs. Elizabeth Buntin came before the board with a discussion of a home for aged. This was a presentation of a subject that had been discussed in a'regional meeting and had been explained to the public. The board agreed to consider the plan for the regional - home sfor aged.

Permission was granted by the board for the American Legion Auxiliary to place a bronze placque In the Courthouse in memory of veterans.
