The little town of Fillmore, New York, pulled their 100th birthday party this summer with a felogan of a “Century of Rigor Mortis," nothing had been accomplished in the town for the first hundred years, the citizens maintained. Their celebration is over and the town fathers say the slogan has been changed and money is in the till. Like the neighbors in Culpeper county alter their 200th birthday party, the New York town has been able to finance the party and refund much of the donations to the town merchants who underwrote the centennial celebration.
