On Induction Ceremonies
Letters of appreciation have been sent to the Association for Greater Warrenton and the Culpeper Chamber of Commerce for their kindness in agreeing to underwrite the expenses of Washington’s ceremonies in connection -with the induction of the lady mayor and the all-lady town council. Just because the town did not need the donations the neighboring counties so willingly offered is no sign that they were not appreciated.
The town, through donations and receipts from the dance, was able to meet all the expenses. All the bill* are not in, but the pres* «nt .financial statements looks like there wilf be a small surplus.
Engagement Announced
Mr. and Mrs. Jonas Althur, of Sperryville, announce the engagement of their daughter Evelyn Marie to Bruce H. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Brown, of Woodville. The date of the wedding will be set in the near future.- .T_
