Wade H. Massie, Jr., has been "ice-president of the company since 1946.

Directors are Brooke R. Miller, who became a director in 1940; Robert Lee Miller, a director for the past 26 years; €. E. Johnson, Jr., first named director in 1947, Robert L. Brown, named a director in 1949; and J. P. Cook, named a director in 1350. * ? At a meeting of the stockholders beginning the year"September 1, 1950 to September 1, 1951, there were 378 members represented in presence and in proxy. The membership totals 472.

The records of the Fire Insurance Company show that the largest single fire loss in 1949 was $2975. Records are gone on the largest fire loss in the history of the company, but it is thought to be that of the Rappahannock Woolen Mills, about 35 or 40 years ago.

Win* Tricolor Award

- The Rappahannock Garden Club should be just proud of the distinction of having one of its members win a tricolor award, and especially proud of the high standard the award sets for -its first show. The National Council of State Garden Clubs, Inc., states in its handbook: "Tricolors are awarded by judges only to very distinguished exhibits ... It is, however, the privilege of the judges to withhold a tricolor award if no exhibit is worthy of the honor."
