Southern States Co-operative members in the Sperriville, area heard reports of their co-operative’s services-for the first 11 mo. of the 1949-50 fiscal year at a meeting held August 10, In Washington, Va.
In addition to the report, given by district manager James A.'Silver, members were elected to Southern States Sperriville Farm
According to Mr. Silver, the 250,000 members of the co-opera-_ tive in its six-state operating territory, put-through their organization nearly |114,000,000 worth of purchasing and marketing service during the fiscal year which ended June 30. The figure was estimated on the basis of the first eleven months of the year. The co-operative’s net worth was given as over $18,000,000. The report was accompanied by film slide aeries prepared by the co-operative’s Information - Publications Service.
