Hallowe’en Party At

Amissville Baptist Church

Some hundred or more attended the Hallowe’en party given by the Amissville Baptist church} Monday night, October 80. There were more than 150 people that were in costume and a parade was the first event of the evening. The judges were unable to decide on the best dressed individual, as many were very well concealed by their costume for the evening.

Some of those who were able to throw the rubber ball through the cat’s mouth were as follows; Catherine Laing, Gloria Curtis, Doris Hackley, Sandra Lee Rowzie, Carol Rowzie, Dick Martin, and Floyd Hitt. *

During the evening there was a sing-song of tunes like “The More We Get Together," “I Rather Have Fingers than Toes,” “Shortenin’ Bread’’ “Home on the Range’’ “Someone’s in the Kitchen.”

As a closing devotional phase of thb program inside the church a film-strip was shown entitled “A Certain Nobleman” by the pastor Rev. M. E. Sliger.

The crowd then went outside to roast “hot-dogs” and drink apple cider. y ' * ■
