A dangerous piece of ntischief took place in Washington where cinder 'blocks were piled on the road on Mt. Salem avenue. Fortunately, these were noticed by someone passing and were re-i moved before they caused a serious accident.
The rest of the pranks -wefe clean fun that caused no damage to anyone’s property, and the youngsters found the treats served by neighbors for “trick or treat” were delicious.

Word has been received that Joe Reid, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Reid of Washington, has been awarded the Hulda Johnston Cox scholarship at N. C. State, where Joe is a student.
