Local Voters Attend
Democratic Rally
A large delegation of Rappa-* hannock voters, headed by James W. Fletcher, attended a Warren County Democratic Rally held at Front Royal Thursday evening, October 26, to hear Representative Burr P. Harrison reply to charges which he had said are being made by Republicans over radio and in newspaper advertising.
Mr. Harrison stated that the Republicans do not say that he has neglected his district; they fail to mention that he has visited every precinct in his district annually to meet his constituents and to hear any criticism or suggestions; and they have not criticized his voting record, even on the most controversial issues in Congress. ,
Mr. Harrison said that he does not approve of everything in Washington (D.C.) and that some things have been done over his protest. Admitting that he had made mistakes, and.^ may make others, Representative Harrison said that they were mistakes of the mind and not of the heart, and that he will continue to serve the district and the nation conscientiously.
Mr. Hafrison was presented by State Senator Raymond R. Guest who defined the issues of the current political campaign as of tremendous importance and earnestly advocated the re-election of Burr Harrison to the House of Representatives.
