LAKENHEATH, ENGLAND— Pfc. Paul D. Hawkins of Washington, is presently stationed in the United Kingdom with the 60th Antiaircraft Artillary Battalion of the 82nd AAA Brigade, here to engage in joint training with the United States Air Force, Royal Air Force, and the British Army.
Pfc. Hawkins, ‘whose father, Raymond Hawkins, resides in Woodville, entered the army in early 1940 and upon completion of his basic military training at Camp Pickett, he was transferred to Fort BlisB, Texas, where he received instruction on antiaircraft artillery operation. He remained at Fort Bliss until late 1949, when he was assigned to Fort Ord, California, remaining there for 11 -months before accompanying his unit to its present station in England. His unit and the others that comprise the •32nd AAA Brigade are the first United States Army units to he stationed in the United Kingdom since the end of the war in Enrogw., „ &*SES&fM2. .
