The damage to the kitchen can be remjedied. Eventually the rest of the house can be restored to cleanliness. After several good; scrubbings the lady’s coiffure may lose its grease and soot. But— according to the lady’s husband (who left home as fast as he could right after the accident occurred) —it will require the soothing pas. sage of much time to calm the dear lady’s temper. However it is doubted if ever again in her lifetime will she be able to match the language she thought at the moment and for several days thereafter.
