Amissville Bible School
Holds Commencement
The 1951 Vacation Bible School Commencement was held at Amissville Baptist church Sunday, July 8, at the 11 o’clock serviae. On Friday, July 6, ithe school closed the day with a wonderful picnic. Those planning the event were Mrs. Will Latham, Mrs. Charled Green, Mrs. Sarah Latham, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins, and Mrs. Charles A. Smith.
The school enrolled 77 students' and the total mission offering was $14.78 (to be given to CARE. The following were members of. the faculty: M. E. Sliger, Mrs. Sliger, Miss Peggy Green, Mrs. Lucy Mae Hitit, Mrs. Ralph Rowzie, Mrs. Virgie Bywaters, Mrs. Katherine Riley, Mrs. Sarah Jenkins, Miss Helen Zinn, Miss Lena Mae Green, and Norman J. Flythe.

Farm To Be Host
At Cattle Field Day
If, no matter what the breed, you are interested in cattle and their care, you will enjoy the field day at Cloverly Farm on July 21. You will go away full of food and good oommonsense information.
The farm location is on route 33 to Stanardsville, Greene county, turn north at the east end and go two miles out on 230. Cloverly Farm is owned aqd operated by W. L. Clover, who will be host for thp day. . Farmers who know farming will be on the list of speakers. Animals from Clover’s) Angus herd will be there to judge for prizes and you may see how1 BUI Clover goes about storing hia hay against the winter months.
The program starts at 10:30 a.m., and the last event is at 3:45 p.m. Plan your day accordingly. It’s close to route 11. It wUl be a Saturday to look back on aa well spent. (Released by the Virginia Angus Associ., Inc.)
