Fifty-seven pounds of spore dust sold is a pretty good start for July but let’s not slacken up.

If you are planning to top dress alfalfa, Ladino, or permanent pastures low in potash, 0-14-14 analysis is recommended. A recent calculation over at the PMA office showed 0-14-14 to have . a much higher qualifying rate than 0-147. In fact, we were figuring normal top dressing of comparatively small farm and learned the additional coat to the farmer when qualifying under PMA’s soil build-j ing program with 0-14-14 instead of 0-14-7 was a little over f 7— a negligible amount to pay for the equivalent of two tons of muriate of potash available through the use of the higher analysis fertilizer!
