Another prominent horseman in the county is Arthur Miller, •who owns a breeding farm just outside of Washington. Mr. Miller has two handsome stallions on his place along with 17 mares and. colts. The chestnut stallion Galway by Sir Galahad III, out ofl the Jim Gafney mare, Silver Lane, is well known for his racing and breeding get (while the brown stallion War Craft sires more hunting and showing colts. There are three broodmares at the stable one chestnut mare, Grand Plume, is a half-sister to Grand-trap, the . •horse that Dr. ‘Hughes owned and raced. The yearlings, one by Nordict, and the 2- and 3-yearolds make an impressive array of horseflesh.
