A Reputation We LiKe
Rappahannock has been paid a compliment in the writings of_ Mrs. Anne Hudson Goedecke in Sunday’s Richmond Times-Diapatch.
When someone describes the county as being a group of people iwbo “work hard and play hard,” that’s a compliment. It means that the people of this county have the sound, good sense to recognize that “all work and no play”— or vice versa — doesn’t make for healthy living. They) attend to business when that has to be done, and they do it welL ' When the time comes to play, they concentrate on that, too, and the results are a good time.
The lady complimented the Rappahannock Hunt, those who worked and played in it, the pointto-point races, the hounds, and the capable people connected with the activities of the Hunt. She stated that it is hoped that next year ' the horse show may be resumed, ... and many of the local people hope the lady is correct.
