The Rappahannock advisory council is having a palled meeting at the First Baptist fehurch, Washington, on September -2, at 3 p.m.
' The Sunday School of the First Baptist church will sponsor a rally on September 9, at 11 o'clock. The Junior Choir is asked to render the music. We are asking the neighboring Sunday Schools to participate in this program to make it an enjoyable affair. The _ pastor and superintendent of the various churches will receive letters concerning the rally.

Miss Jennie Hughes of Amissville and Pvt. Russell Adams were married August 18 by Rev. T. L. Proctor at Front Royal. Mrs. Margaret Jordan of Flint Hill, mother of the bridegroom I entertained at a party in their honor folkwing the ceremony.
Pvt. Adams left for Seattle* Washington, on August 20.
