Washington Junior 4-H club was organised during the October meeting. The agent told the members the meaning of the 4-H symbol, 4-leaf clover, and some advantages in joining the 4-H club. The following officers were chosen: Shirley Smoot, president; Jack Rutherford, vice-president; Elaine Burke, secretary; Charlotte , Keatts, devotional leader; Esther - Mae, song leader; and David Burke, game leader. *
The girls chose for their first project “So You’d Like to Sew” and the boys chose “Care of Pigs and Calf.” Members joining were: Martha Jenkins, Ruby Jenkins, Lorine Settle, Mary Elisabeth Settle, Charlotte Keatts, Mary Pul-' len, Elaine Burke, Shirley Smoot, Peggy Burke, Esther Mae Finch* am. Forest Grove 4-H met October 3. The members decided to take “So You’d Like to Sew” as their project. During the meeting members filled in worksheets. The demonstration this month was making and equiping a sewing kit. They will be exhibited by members next month. Jimmy Atkins was elected game leader for the eli* this year. New members to join were: Mar# Prince, Tacie Dodson, Mary Dodson, Adolph Estes, and John Cobbage.
Amissville 47H club met October 4. The girls chose as their project “So You’d Like to Sew." Betty Scott and Jane Riley are going to take as second project “Room Improvement.” Mrs. Catherine Riley, leader, helped with the filling in of 4-H worksheets sihd requirements of sewing kits. The members will exhibit their own sewing boxes at the November meeting. New members join
