Auxiliary Bridge Party

Mrs. W. H. Musis, Jr., .president of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Rappahannock Volunteer Fire /Company, reports the benefit card party of last Thursday aa a success.

Several ladies availed themselves of the opportunity to entertain their friends and help the Are company at the same time. Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Mrs €l«n*» Cook, Mrs. Emory Russell, and Mrs. William Gilbert engaged a table, where Mrs. Russell von the ■high prise. .► ■:

Mrs. John $. Browning had as her guests Mrs. W. A. Moore, Mrs. Brue Wood, and Mrs. Edgar Browning, who won high.

Mrs. G. W. Smith entertained Mrs. Lock Burford, Mrs. Paul .Miller, and Mrs. David Corin, who scored high.

Mrs. Rayner Snead’s guests included Mrs. Lucio Kilby, Mrs. Z. H. Sealock, Mrs. Carroll Menefee, idiss Louise O’Bannon, Mrs. H. B. Winfrey, Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mrs. Tom Hudson, Mrs. John Davis, Mrs. Holmes Hall, Mrs. Charles Estes, and Mrs. William Lyne. .The three high prizes were awarded to Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. Menefee, and Mrs. Hudson.

Mrs. Charles Bruce entertained the Washington bridge club with additional guests. Those playing swere Mrs. J. E. Keyser, tors. Elizabeth DeBergh, Mrs. Wade H. .Massie, Jr., Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mm. ■George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. W. L. Keyser, Mrs. George Taylor, Miss Minnie Williams, Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mrs. J. ,W. 'Price, Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. J. P. Snead, Mrs. Dike Quaintance, Mrs R. M. Menefee, and Mrs. Earl Edmonds. High, prizes went to Mrs. T. C. Lea, Mrs. George H. Davis, Mrs. Quaintance, and Mrs. ,D. D. Miller. •

Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh reserved a table for her nephew, .Gorge H. Davis, III, who invited Miss Evelyn Tyler Miller, Miss Elizabeth Verner, and Carleton Dunn for canasta.
