Mr. Martin assured the visitors from California that Rappahannock was as famous for her hospitality as for her fine apple orchards, and he carried his guests to “Sunstroke Manor/’ near, Woodville, where they were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey.

Mr. Winfrey conducted Mr. and Mrs. Tunberg intv an orchard and allowed the lady to pick apples. She chose a cluster of five Golden Delicious, and was horrified at the waste of all those beautiful apples lying on the ground when Mr. Winfrey told her that a “drop” was useless since it was bruised.

The California visitors seemed so impressed with Rappahannock that they began to fire qusetions right and left about the county and stated they would like to live here. The Tunbetg family includes a 14-months-old son, who did not make the long business trip with his parents.

On friday evening at the Lord Culpeper Hotel, Mr.* Tunberg -spoke to a group concerning the purpose of this trip through the country by representatives of the ■W* industry. Representatives of theatres, Chambers of Commerce, and civic organizations from Warren ton, Front Royal, and Culpeper were present to bear the screen writer tell of the side of Hollywood's big business that most of the public doesn’t know about.
