He’s going to lower the prices on the items he sells, let his customers buycheap, and then they will have so much money left over that they will have to pay all taxes, while he ’will be exempt. He hasn’t worked out the system yet, but he’s planning to get started any jday now.
Control The Temper
People with a temper have something deep within them which inevitably and unavoidably will surge to the top. They are surprised as much by the emergence as are those about them. It is a common belief that a person with >• a temper also has endearing characteristics which offset his- instability in the face of untoward circumstances.
As everyone with a temper knows, the anger rushes from us in waves which get stronger and higher. It seems that we build their violence with a frenzied glee. Usually we realize in a few minutes—after H is too late—that we have lost a friend or annihilated an opportunity. We hope that our apology and contrition will make amends, but the status quo is gone forever. As we grow older we become wary of the waves. We are on guard against their approach. We do not let the outburst go beyond the elemental surge. And, when we have become very wise, only a flash of the eyes gives bint that the wires have been crossed and that we have blown a fuse. We still have the old temper, but we’ve got it under control
