Forest Fire Threats
Forest fire danger in the county was considerably reduced by the recent rains. Chief Forest Warden Raymond M. Johnson said today, but he forecasts new trouble whei! cigarette smoltin& sportsman invade the leafcovered woods after the forests.
Chief Warden Johnson also stated that the forest fire lookout tower in the county wiR he manned from now on this fall when needed, until the threat of fall forest fires is reduced. The Chief also warns that more rain will be needed soon to really lessen the danger of fires following the extended dry period of the past summer.
