James Rosser Singleton

who had been in declining Health for several years, died Wednesday night, January 9 at the University of Virginia Hospital, due to a heart ailment.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Erasmus J. Singleton of FT Valley, and besides his parents he is survived by a sister Mrs. Harry Mundy of Sperryville. Four brothers, Rudolph of Fayetteville, North Carolina; Harry of Gary, Indiana; Lionel of Chicago, Illinois and Jack of-Washington, D.C. Also a daughter, Mrs. Virginia May Lovelace of South Bend, Indiana.

Mr. Singleton resided in Gary, Indiana where he was employed with a railway company for many years prior to losing his health, when he moved to Sperryville to be with his parents.
