-ttign on the agenda at the February meeting: was the approval of a new budget for the forthcoming Festival. Working towards a goal of $6,000, the board of directors established a $8.00 membership plan which would entitle subscribers to four Sunday concerts to be held at Avon Mills on U. S. Highway 211 on August 10, 17, 24. and 81.
Other plans for the coming season include the appointment of a program committee to work with , William Haaker, Conductor of both the Blue Ridge Music Festival and the Virginia (Symphony Or. chestra, on a choice of classical, ■ selections 'for the fonr Sunday afternoon programs. Another com-' mittee was appointed under the chairmanship of Mrs. 7k D. Millet to make a survey of the Rappahannock area for housing accomodations and training facilities for an expanded (workshop season which *<wlll attract approximately fifty students from Virginia Symphony Orchestra State Guild Chapters to the Festival for advanced musical ; instruction.

Leon E. Whitley, Unionsville; Dr. S. J. Cole of Qrange; Mrs. A. QPreston Ford of Culpeper; Mrs. Cecilia Mahoney, Alexandria; Mrs. Manley Tate, Luray; Alfred W. Alfriend, Alexandria; Frank Bowman III, Warrenton; George Turner, Winchester and Charles T. Chapman of Luray.
Representatives of the state symphony who attended this first* annual meeting of the Festival were Conductor and Mrs. William Haaker and George Bandy Morris, Photographic Art Director.
