Washington Sr. 4-H club decided to donate $1.0Q toward the pur* chase of National 4-H club center ; in Washington. As their part dur- = ing celebration of National 4-H club week March 1-9, the group decided to publish a news article on What 4-H Means to Me. The members on this committee are Bobby Menefee, Carlyle Lea/ Becky Jones, / Eleanor Leake and Pauline Jenkins. During project work the girls demonstrated correct method of washing a sweater.
Evelyn Miller, president, opened the meeting of Sperryville I 4-H club Tuesday. Nancy Zinn lead the group in singing. The club voted to contribute $1.00 toward the National 4-H center. Eleanor Jenkins, Edna Dodson, Larry Dodson arid with the help of Mrs. George Taylor, leader, were appointed to plan and help with making of display in store window for National 4-H club week. The girls received instructions on selecting correct food preparation equipment and were shown different milk drinks.
Betty Eubank was a new member to join the Washington Jr. 4-H club, Tuesday. Esther Mae Pullen, song leader, did an excellent job in leading singing 4-H Trail and Sing for Wide Wide Field. Finance committee appointed was: J^ck Rutherford, Lorraine Settle and Lorraine Garrison. School committee consists of Mary Frances Pullen, Betty Eubank and Ned Pullen. Members decided to give f 1.00 to National 4-H center. The club decided to make a window display as their part in celebrating National 4-H week. Peggy Purke, David Burke, Mary Elizabeth Settle and Miss Corrie Scroggins, leader were named on this committee. The girls made aprons in project work.
