Perhaps he’s right. In studying the situation that tempts folks to speed through the town, several items can be pointed out. The road’s good; it’s straight; and just because the highway boy§ stuck a sign up on the side of the , road saying “25 mi lie speed limit” does not mean that every car is going to slow down.
Personally, I’m inclined to slacken speed when my' car gets past the post office, but there’s a reason for it. A pick-up truck pulled out , into the highway from Burke’s store one time when I was going through Woodville just like Mr. Filling said. Good brakes and quick use of them saved me from jamming into that truck. I had to learn the hard way. Maybe we could get 'some truck driver to volunteer to
