Miss Nellie Johnson, county chairman and Mrs. George Taylor, county federation chairman attended District 8 federation executive committee meeting at Warrenton Tuesday, February 8. Counties composing this district are: Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, Fauquier, Culpeper, Madison and Rappahannock.

Mrs. Gilmer Garber, district president from Prince William county and Miss Maude E. Wallace, state assistant director in charge of home demonstration •work in Blacksburg, gave reports from federation executive meeting of important items of concern of counties of districts.

Plans were made for the spring district federation meeting to be held at Nokesville, Prince William, county, Thursday, May 1. We hope all clubs in Rappahannock will send delegates to this meeting.

Last Thursday night the 4-H girls of Rappahannock High School tried hard playing basketball against the 4-H girls of Berryville High School but lost a close and exciting basketball game 30-29. ,We are looking forward to our return game February 15 at Berryville and hope to make up for that one point then.

The girls playing forward were: Irene Jenkins, Pauline Jenkins, Mabel Haiwkins. Guards were Betty Rutherford, Bernice Nethers, Shirley Williams, Eleanor Leake, Joyce Clark and Frances Walker.

Flint Hill 4-H club met Monday opening with devotional Psalm 121. Eleanor Atkins led group in singing. During business the mem« % ber* voted to give $1.00 toward the National 4-H center at Washington. The committee appointed to make a display for National 4H club week in Bradford’s store window March 1-9 were Lucy Lili laid, Jerry Atkins, Eleanor Atkins with assistance of Mrs. Frank Cary, 4-H leader.
