Cooksey Home Destroyed

By Fire Last Friday

The iRappahannock fire companies answered a call around 10 p.m. on Friday from Flint Hill.

The residence of Tucker Cooksey and his sister, Miss Martha Cooksey was completely destroyed by fire, that originated in the kitchen. Because of no phone facility and a sufficient supply of water not available, the firemen were helpless to conquer the fire before •the building was destroyed.

Only a few articles were saved. Among the valuables lost was a considerable amount of money that Miss Cooksey as she thought had put safely away.
