Graduating exercises lor the class of 1952 will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 4, in the high schbol auditorium. Irvin Corbin, class president, will preside and several, ol~ the "honor graduates will participate in the program. Music for the occasion will be furnished by the high school Glee Club under the direction of Miss Charlotte Golladay. The program will close with the traditional candlelight recessional, in which the Juniors under the leadership of Bobbie Massie, class president, will participate.
The twenty-six graduates of 1952 are as follows: Rosie Mae Mills, Joye Dennis, Barbara Williams, Donald Romine, Gordon Thompson and Phyllis Updike—all honor graduates. The others in alphabetical order are William Armentrout, Jean Atkins, Barbara Black, Charles Brown, Josephine Butler, Dorothy Cloud, Irvin Corbin, Mary Jane Cornell, Henrietta (Sally) Dwyer, Delores Foster, James Goode, Beatrice Jenkins, Rufus Leake, Jr., Ann Lee, Helen Nethers, Frances Poe, Edwin Scroggins, Jr., Gloria Dennis Smoot and Rodney Vest. Robert Harrison, who is with oUr armed forces it* France, will receive a diploma by proxy.
The first class to graduate from Rappahannock’s consolidated high school numbered 14, while this year’s second graduating class of the high, school almost doubled the number with 26.
