Friday, June 6—2:30 Culpeper Soft ball game with Culpeper County 4-H clubs.
Mrs. Colleen Collette, home economist of Northern Virginia Power Company, demonstrated correct lighting and how to electrify^ lamps to group of H. D. ladies from Amissville, Flint Hill, Huntly, and Washington H. D. clubs. Mrs. Collett demonstrated with a foot candle meter the advantage of placing the ‘light in the correct position.
The sewing group met Tuesday to continue with sewing, each member working on her own project
Wednesday evening Washington H. D. met to convert kerosene lamps; into electric lights they could use in their home. Seven lamps were electrified during the meeting. The group is considering the making of community date book for community improveraent
Amissville H.D. met at the home of Mrs. Joe Hitt Thursday evening. They welcomed Mrs. toia Broken as... a new member. The members decided to reseat chairs June 10 at the home of Mrs. Will Walter beginning at 9 a.m. Seven lamps were electrified during the meeting, the members using vases, jugs and bottles to make lamps.

* A motion for judgment has been hied in the Clerk’s office, Rappahannock, by George H. Davis of Warrenton against George H. Davis, Jr., of Washington and William Haaker of Richmond for collection of a note hearing the date of June 30, 1961, for $1750 plus costs.
A grounds of defense was hied May 21 in the Clerk’s office by J. L. Fray, counsel for the defendant, William Haaker.
Rayner V. Snead is attorney for G. H. Davis of Warrenton.
The ease will be set for July term of court unless postponed.
William Haaker is conductor of -the Virginia Symphony and was director of the Blue Ridge Music Festival summer camp held last summer at Avon Mills, Washington.
George H. Davis, Jr., is an attorney with the U. S. Justice Department and is the husband of Mayor Dorothy C. Davis of Washington.
